If you have not spotted it already look to the right of the screen.  You may need to scroll down. See it yet?  Yup I’m talking about my Portuguese BlogRoll.  These are wonderful blogs which have caught my eye.  Most days they photograph something in Portugal, and not only are their photographs brilliant but they usually share something amazing too.  So go on have an explore!

Olhão – If you are looking for more information on Olhão then here are a few sites worth looking at.  The first like us thinks this working town is a gem, the second is the classic Wikipedia which always tells you something and the third one says it will share everything uncovered it doesn’t quite achieve this but still a useful site.  If you visit regularly or would like to know more about what is going on then check out I Love Olhão or the Algarve news site. And finally and essentially know your tide times when walking and/or bird watching in the Ria Formosa

Accommodation – We nearly always take an apartment at the residence yes the buildings are large and don’t quite fit the locality, but the apartments are wonderful.  If you prefer there is also the adjoining hotel or if you prefer to be more like a local you can rent an apartment or house in the town itself.

Transport – For the best site on local transport – ferries, buses and trains visit here.  We have thoroughly enjoyed using the trains and buses, plus they are cheap.   For those after your own transport then we recommend this site to hire a car

Algarve – surprisingly few up to date or good guidebooks but there are lots of websites.  If you haven’t found them already we suggest AngloInfo especially if you are looking to move to the Algarve.  Also take a look at the main tourist one and if you are wondering when the public holidays are in Portugal check out thisBoats at Sunrise
